My prediction is the Americans will nuke everyone out of spite rather than see a human future where capitalism has no more leverage once fusion is viable.
i mean i definitely think it's a possibility. if it goes down like that, especially in a fit of flipping the table, hopefully there will be some people in the chain of command that will defy orders
a limited nuclear temper tantrum followed by massive counter-force retaliation by the rest of the world would be horrific but at least we might make it to the other side.
