It never happened, this is just historical revisionism. Doubly so because the police will remove people from your house whenever you want.
It never happened where? Because it did happen in the UK - which is clearly where we're talking about
It happened in Colombia too! Only gatherings of four people, no cars on the streets etc
It was probably a strongly suggested guideline instead of an actual ban.
