I love topos like this, I had a (somewhat realistically tinted, if it were somehow winter with no snow) plastic topo of the US as a child and running fingers over all the mountaintops of the southern Rockies was so calming. Did anyone have this kind of map?

I had a globe like this, it was wonderful. It deteriorated long ago.

Back when I was a kid my school had a large plastic topo map of Yugoslavia. Well by then technically the country didn't exist any more but it took a couple of years for teaching materials to catch up.

After renaming the gulf of Mexico ... Will geography classrooms get new teaching materials so a certain orange ego won't be bruised?
