doubt

The average Americans thoughts on Elon before the Nazi salute was “You’ll be having a great day, the sun is shining, birds are chirping, and then you see a Cyber Truck coming to piss you off.”

I think we gotta remember we're in an online bubble here. "Normies", for lack of a better term, don't really experience the same cycles of cringe and based as online weirdos like us do. There's people out there who still like Rick and Morty and Big Bang Theory, there's people who don't have any idea what Elon posts on Twitter, they just know him as based rocketship man.

Exactly this. Your average American and even average internet user can only ingests the most basic media and information necessary to keep the office small talk going. They are not invested in the nuances of any of the really pressing topics we all punish ourselves with.

I know so many people who's life cycle is just work-binge watch some show I've never heard of even though it's in its 13th season now apparently-sleep-maybe get drunk and watch sports, and that's it.

We give people shit for watching fucking "BreadTube" but the worst of that shit is still probably more intellectual stimulating than the 18th season of Doctor Sexy-Pants MD or Real Nanny's of Tallahassee.

I’m not talking about people online. I’m talking about my personal trainer mom and finance worker dad, my wife’s coworkers, customers, that range of people.

If a cybertruck parks outside of a business the people inside point and laugh. This is not an online bubble thing, unless you count every American who had a TikTok account as an online bubble, but that’s half of Americans.
