McKinley was assassinated by a disgruntled civil servant. Elon and Trump just made a bunch of those.
No, McKinley was assassinated by an anarchist, Leon Czolgosz. You may be thinking of president Garfield who was assassinated by Charles Guiteau, who believed he had been promised the ambassadorship to France.
My mistake I did confuse the two.
