The only pattern that can seemlessly integrate vomit, yoghurt, chocolate and bubblegum into itself and look completely unchanged afterwards.
That's why hotel carpets have similar godawful patterns. You can't spot the stains.

It is legitimately a significant thing. At last year's con, I'm sure I saw at least hundreds of people doing carpet-patterned cosplay.
