The world (looking at the huge variety of guns with thousands of models that were made before the US even was a thing): Yes, American magic...

[-] nexguy@lemmy.world 14 points 1 week ago

Yes we all know when someone makes s joke about the excess use of guns we all know that are really taking about the Chinese and their rabid gun use.

[-] Remember_the_tooth@lemmy.world 9 points 1 week ago

Gun rabies is no joke. Make sure to have your firearm vaccinated!

I'll have you know guns are as American as apple pie!

Edit: Accidentally wrote "Apple pie" rather than "apple pie." Don't want to give them any ideas. I don't need food that only works with Apple appliances.

[-] Narauko@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

And the apples are pine-apple fragmentation grenades. Just like grandma used to make

[-] Remember_the_tooth@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

Yeah, grandma was something else:

[-] cosmicrookie@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Sounds very American to just take over a whole concept and make their own 🤦

[-] Remember_the_tooth@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Yes, America invented co-opting things.

Side note: I found this alongside similar images that seemed less intentionally ironic.

[-] glitchdx@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago

these are so fucking stupid and I love them

[-] Remember_the_tooth@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago

Me too. At a certain point, they become so absurd that they're funny rather than irritating.

[-] cosmicrookie@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

Looks like an image that could go on to the hood of a pickup truck that surely also is an American thing 😂🤯

[-] Remember_the_tooth@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

I would be entirely unsurprised if I saw this on an F150 tailgate on the highway.

[-] Narauko@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago

That's close, but it really belongs painted on the side of a '70s panel van instead of a wizard with a unicorn, with shag carpet, a crushed velvet bed with the frame made of ammo boxes, and bead curtains made of bullets, and living in that van is a slightly more stoned Nicholas Cage from Lord of War who smells like pachouli and expended gun powder.

[-] Remember_the_tooth@lemmy.world 1 points 6 days ago

I don't know what this is, but I like it. You have a gift. I look forward to watching your movies.

[-] rainrain@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 week ago

According to my phone typing thingy half of all words belong to a corporation.

[-] Remember_the_tooth@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

You think you're pretty clever, don't you? I happen to know that every word in your comment was posted years ago! Perhaps you've read...the dictionary!

[-] Speiser0@feddit.org 1 points 1 week ago

Guns are definitely way more american than apple pie!

[-] Remember_the_tooth@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Instructions unclear. ICE shot the pie for resisting arrest.

[-] Speiser0@feddit.org 2 points 1 week ago

See, everything in USA has guns, even ICEs. German ICEs don't wear guns.

[-] Remember_the_tooth@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

Perhaps that's how the Germans displaced the citizens of the Holy Roman Empire.

Maybe if they'd put guns on their guns, they'd have normal people like Americans living there rather than foreigners like Germans.

(Yes, I'm being incredibly facetious. No, I shouldn't have to explain it, but also, yes, someone has probably already posted this sincerely on Truth Social.)

I mean, I guess if you want substandard crappy guns like Beretta, Heckler & Koch, Benelli, Browning Arms Company (yes, Browning), SIG Sauer, Springfield Armory, Chiappa, FN Herstal and more. And don't forget our Filipino friends at Rock Island Armory!

[-] Lembot_0001@lemm.ee 3 points 1 week ago

Springfield Armory, Browning Arms Company

Aren't they from the US?

[-] kersploosh@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 week ago

Browning is now owned by FN Herstal, though the Browning business unit is still headquartered in the US.

Springfield is privately owned by an American family.
