The timing might be a coincidence, but it feels like it's intended to take the wind out of Skyblivion's sails.
I hate Bethesda, so I hope this flops tbh.
I feel like skyblivion is gonna have more love and passion put into it. This will be broken shit day 1 then never get fixed
That's what I'm thinking. Skyblivion is going with concept art for things left out or things stated in the lore that the original ignored, like making the city of Leyawiin an actual port city that ships can actually pass through and expanding dungeons that are copy-pasted in vanilla. The things you get without the profit motive and with passion instead.
What's Skyblivion?
Oblivion ported to Skyrim's engine, ability to travel between Skyrim and Cyrodil on one character, similar to Tale of two Wastes and Morroblivion and Skywind.
Skywind probably has a few years to go, I think the last update had them around 75% done.
They've stated it will come out by the end of this year
That's Skyblivion, the fan-made Oblivion-in-Skyrim-SE's-engine mod; Skywind is the fan-made Morrowind-in-Skyrim-SE's-engine mod. Skywind has a little more left to be done compared to Skyblivion.
I actually just thought this was Skyblivion at first glance because it's very close to release.
Isn't the rumor that this will play pretty much like Oblivion with some changes? Skyblivion should be less worse.
