There is no form of commie in the world that libs won't decry as a tankie anyway. Don't bother playing into the word games.

Believe it or not there are communists that aren't authoritarian bootlickers. I feel bad for them having to overcome the tankies image problem

Yeah but 98% of the self identified communists you find on Lemmy are actually just Tankies. Part of it is that most reasonable folk would rather call themselves a democratic socialist than a communist, as the latter has become entrenched in the philosophy of the USSR.
