“Anything that relates to water quality, removing contaminants, things like that, we’re not touching that,” Tuck [the bill sponsor] said. “It’s anything that has to do with health. So fluoride, vitamins, whatever else it is.

No, MAGA is on the wrong side of most issues including immigration.

Okay, unlucky guess. What issues are they right on though?

Fluoride is not only a nuclear waste byproduct a fact you can look up yourself, it is also a mind altering substance. It's an ingredient in many antidepressants including Prozac. A fact you can also look up. Just because you haven't bothered to read up on fluoride doesn't make people that have incorrect.

I didn't say any of it was incorrect, but that it was irrelevant. It doesn't matter if its a nuclear byproduct, it doesn't matter if its in Prozac, and it doesn't matter if its mind altering if its at doses not in drinking water. It being a byproduct is a neat fact, but doesn't tell you that its harmful. None of what you've said, even if I grant it to you completely, matters.

I also would need a source for that. Yes, uranium hexafluoride is a compound used in nuclear enrichment, but conflating any compound with fluorine to the ones used in toothpaste is disingenuous. You might as well just say hydrofluoric acid is dangerous.

That said, even if it were a fission byproduct, (it isn't), or a byproduct of fusion (also isn't), there are plenty of completely inert products like ordinary silver.
