Anon should use gimp
I prefer Krita nowadays
Not equivalent, it's more for drawing than image editing.
Also, it doesn't even have the green pepper brush.
It works pretty well for image editing as well, at least the type I do. I’ve started using it mainly for that instead of GIMP (mainly because GIMP’s Mac version doesn’t work nearly as well as on Linux and I want to use both)
The lack of green pepper brush is a big downside though.

Who needs a circle tool when you can just google " circle no background transparent"

It's simply that there are tools that work better, and it hasn't had an update in about 12 years.
It literally just had its biggest update ever last month.
Yeah but other than that
Apparently you can rice it to make it behave closer to Photoshop (shortcuts and whatnot).
