When you want to play a game as intended but want to make sure the big boob mod doesn't clash with the futa mod and you have all the relevant dependencies for the Gangster Edition TM splash screen.
Rimworld is generally pretty mod friendly but yeah when you're getting into hundreds of mods it's nice to have something that flags dependencies. I remember before the long boot time was fixed having to wait 20-30 minutes for it to start just to test if everything was working properly.
