Given that Chopper is an actual animal that ate the human-human fruit I think you can get away with him being slightly weird.

I'm not sure if the tsundere personality joke translates to english very well though, let alone directly from comic/anime to live-action.

They're going to need to speed up production of these seasons otherwise the actors are gonna age much more over the series than they ought to.

Yeah, I was surprised when Chopper said Season 2 was coming out in 2026. That's like 3 years between seasons, which is insane considering the first season ended right before they hit Loguetown. I'm not sure exactly how much ground Season 2 is going to cover but I hope the entirety of the Alabasta arc is in there. However, if it's still going to be just 6 episodes like last time it's all going to be compressed to the point of being unrecognisable.

The actor playing Luffy is going to in his fifties before they hit the timeskip at this rate, not that I expect Netflix to even greenlight more seasons after this one

From what I hear season 2 ends at drum kingdom

cat-confused

So there's a very real chance this adaptation will get cancelled before they ever even get to the first proper arc

This series will be very lucky if it manages to end at Enies Lobby or Skypiea

Skypiea in live action is going to be so hard to get right. The sets for it would cost a fortune just to build and I can't think of any other way to do it.

Best compromise is to send the cast up to the clouds, but the camera crew stays on the ground. Transporting all that equipment on site would be too much hassle.

It's not just the clouds either. You've got the whole forest segment to do and then you've got the ruins area and inside the
