Yeah, no... You don't usually bring your coffee into the lab.
It depends on where you are, I think. Was yours more of a beer lab or a wine lab?
Speak for yourself. I'm way less safe if I'm not constantly downing coffee
I tasted HCl, Copper sulfate. Inhaled chlorine. Touched sodium metal.

Always familiarize yourself with the MSDS for the reagents you bring into the lab.

Save money on a lab shaker by drinking a sufficient amount of coffee.
