It's important to contextualize, though. Restrictions of some speech in Socialist countries is usually a defense against outside influences, where Capitalists dominate. Capitalist systems don't appear to restrict speech as much because the only ones that control it are wealthy Capitalists, you can speak out as much as you want but none of that has any power.
I agree with that point.
I would love it more if we could fix the issue by having the population informed of the consequences of capitalism and extensive consumerism but even I have to doubt that that would work on it's own and that people would still be lured by the false promises of everybody becoming a millionaire and "trickle down".
Anyways thank you for taking the time / dedication to chat with me, I rlly enjoyed it!
