Turns out the famous manhole cover did not reach six times Earth's escape velocity.
My trash can just exited the Oort Cloud.
I was tempted to say that "my trash can has torn the fabric of Space-Time and removed itself from existence", but that would be an obvious exageration since any people whose trash can went that far, would not remember even having had that trash can on account of it having erased itself from the timeline and hence their memories.
We'll be expecting the residents of Alpha Centauri to send us a complaint about us illegally dumping intergalactic trash.
Don't worry about it, they're in a chaotic era right now.
Last time I saw my trash can, it was speeding past the Kuiper belt 🤷
lol .... next time NASA wants to launch a satellite, they can just put the satellite next to the trash on the sidewalk during garbage day
