So now would be the time to remember that while a VPN does hide some of your online activity from your ISP and your government, it is trusting the VPN provider to not collect that same activity information. Look for a VPN provider that prioritized security and privacy over speed. If they are offering a deal on 3 years of service keep looking.

Look for VPN providers who've been served a warrant by a government to hand over data and the result being they couldn't hand anything over.

Anything other than that is just words you have to trust.
