7. No duplicate posts.
If a source you used was already posted by someone else, the autoMod will leave a message. Please remove your post if the autoMod is correct. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners.
The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

Cool how the president can just declare war now with no heads up or permission from Congress with no consequences. The democrats sure have gotten fucking quiet these last several weeks
The last time the US formally declared war was WWII. Presidents, both blue and red, have been taking advantage of the incredibly weak War Powers Act for decades now.
Pretty much this. Multiple generations of war TV have pointed this out. MASH has an episode about it for chrissakes.
Presidents can attack basically anyone under the blanket provisions given for 9/11

I'm obviously saying that they do speak up and this same type of commentary gets pissed about that too. They (and apparently you too) want Democrats to pull power out of their ass.
Why shouldn't they? That's exactly what Republicans are doing. These people specifically ran to represent us and they need to act like it.

It's always some agreement up top then they complain about Democrats. No complaint about Republicans there, nor their voters, nor the non voters.
