This whole situation is kinda like the Streisand effect; nobody would have know who they were if they didnt react
But guilt made them react. They knew what they were doing was wrong, but did it anyway.

Its only wrong because humans have decided its wrong, when you think about it.
During roman times, it was common with complete orgies. Society makes up these rules as it goes.
Being attracted to other humans is natural and very difficult to resist. I think a lot of this stuff happens all the time.
It's wrong based on consent.
If one party in the married pair – who consented to be with each other forever, usually in front of many others – defies that consensual agreement, then what they did is wrong.
Otherwise you can just use a thought-terminating cliche like "all rules / words / ideas are made up" and end any meaningful discourse.

Money / social fallout. Every single time. Divorces are expensive, and so is therapy for your kids family structure loss trauma.

I’m in a married, committed relationship with my partner because that is how we both decided this is the kind of relationship we want.
We also have friends who are married but see other people openly, and both parties are aware, and their additional partners know that they are married.
Neither one is right or wrong, it’s what works for them.
In this case, both people went into their marriage with the intent to remain monogamous. These two did not honor that. That is why is wrong - it’s not about seeing other people if that is the initial agreement. It’s the lie, which both of them did.
Orgies still happen. Open relationships, too.
If you don't want to be exclusive then don't enter into an exclusive relationship.
I agree we could be less uptight about open relationships, but this is really about a rich filthy person being humiliated at a time when most of us feel powerless to stand up to money in any real capacity.
You're only thinking of the morality side of it.
It's also wrong because they work for a company that probably says subordinate-supervisory relationships are forbidden because of the power imbalance and complications around how a personal relationship--or even the perceptions of one-- might affect workplace decisions--to say nothing of the invitation of harassment lawsuits. Co-workers--even non-supervisory-- who might even be at the same "level" or their work brings them together for anything can be incredibly problematic. All of this is even at a local, department or site level to say nothing of C-level consequences. This also says nothing of the fact that one of them is in charge of the function, HR, who would be the person most responsible for ensuring this kind of conduct didn't happen between employees. The hypocrisy and abdication of duty couldn't be more severe. Both have lost all credibility with anyone in their company, which means they cannot lead others.
Agreed with everything you said. Just wanted to add the term "conflict of interest" to this part. If they had to make a decision that was good for the team and/or the customer, but bad for their lover, they might not make the best decision.

sure. and people get caught cheating all the time. because that's what it is, if you agreed to monogamy, this is cheating. I strongly suspect both of them agreed with different people to keep things monogamous, hence their panic.
'Random' couple gets put up on big screen during the kiss cam or something during a cold play concert since they were embracing each other and it seemed like a nice moment. Said couple immediately turn away from eachother and try to hide. Coldplay singer says they must be having an affair. Turns out theyre both married, higher ups in a company, and having an affair with each other.
It was kinda implied though right?

I couldn't figure out that it was a kisscam at all. I was thinking a photo booth or theatre.

Some kind of drama, probably of the affair kind, but who knows? Maybe it was just a great reaction to a jump scare out of a loving couple. Maybe it was people at a zoo getting manured by a rhino.
These two stills are the only context I have. I've seen them twice in the same day, so it's probably topical, but it could be from the 90s and made relevant by a certain list or something.
My first thought was certain politicians getting freaky in a puplic theatre on security cams though, so not too far off.

They ratted on themselves. Hundreds of couples get put on the screen on coldplay concerts and nobody remembers them. It was their stupid reaction, as if a sniper was going to shoot them, that made the clip go viral.
Had they not reacted at all they would've been forgotten like everyone else.
They were warned even, Chris Martin always warns audiences of the camera before hand so they could've gone into the back for a minute and been on zero risk of this happening. But a guilty consciousness ousted them.
Their employees and partners probably WorldCom found out about it but it wouldn't have become the eternal meme it is now.

What's pissing me off about it now is people eating up the fake statement that the guy "released". Neither of them have commented on it.
What was that claim? And is there some equivalent of TLDR I can preemptively use about whatever news coverage contains this info which I don't want to look up and wish to ignore if I eventually come across it?
