What is a Tankie?

Tankies can explain their views but may be criticised or attacked for them. Any slight infraction on the rules above will immediately earn a warning and possibly a ban.
Off-topic Discussion — Do not discuss unrelated topics to the point of derailing the thread. Stay focused on the direct content of the post as opposed to arguing.
You'll be warned if you're violating the instance and community rules. Continuing poor behaviour after being warned will result in a ban or removal of your comments. MODERATORS
This is largely US propaganda. Buying into the China bad bullshit is US government funded propaganda. I believe it was just last year congress set aside around $1.5 billion for anti-China campaigns. The US government has never been the good guy, and it’s a little wild to me when liberals buy into the trash. It probably shouldn’t. US liberals are generally capitalism loving right wingers.
Do you value diversity, equity, and inclusion? Do you like having the ability to freely talk about ideas which might challenge The Party? Do you enjoy free and fair elections?
If your answer to those questions is "no" then your value system is quite at odds with the average Western Liberal. Liberals love liberalism. China doesn't like liberalism. It's pretty obvious why there's friction between them, no propaganda required.
Of all the shitty responses, this one is the best. You’re wildly naive. You buy into the political theatre. Good stuff. Liberalism doesn’t give a shit about your DEI. There’s no such thing as ethical capitalism. China has a long way to go, but it’s improving the quality of life of its citizens by moving towards socialism. What’s the US doing? War crimes, meddling with elections, bending over for billionaires. Sounds nice! Liberalism has never, and will never be for the working class.
