Rules: (interactive)
1) Be nice and; have fun
Doxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, and toxicity are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them

4) NSFW is okay, within reason
Just remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either !asklemmyafterdark@lemmy.world or !asklemmynsfw@lemmynsfw.com.
NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].
5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions.

This platform is wonderful but the people on it circle jerk politics and aren't open to discussion. The community has dramatically shifted left. We're very far from the center now.
Came for the platform, considering leaving for the people.
slaps lemmy instance
This bad boy can fit so many tankies in it.
The amount of politics on this platform is crazy, its honestly hard to filter it out. For every sub you block three more pop up. I get that politics is important though its kinda sucky to have it as the only subject available. There are so many things out there to talk about, life ain't just politics and Elon Musk
I agree with you 100%
The arrogance of users on here with their political opinions is also wicked high.
sure is, bub
I’m starting to realize this also. At first, Lemmy seemed great with conversations, but it’s starting to shift waaay too far left and I’m a liberal myself.
Honestly considering going back to Reddit… just sucks because the only mobile option is their shitty app.
This is exactly where I’m. Am Canadian and voted left my entire life and this site is becoming too much for me with the way conversations and posts go. Also feels like I’m forever blocking communities I don’t want to see.
It was always very far left. If anything, the influx of new users (myself included) have shifted it right slightly.
It's definitely tiring when users from certain instances flood the comments and start shilling for certain countries and just assume they're 100% right and everyone else is wrong because western propaganda. One user even said that NK would be a utopia if it had some more resources!
I don't understand how this is a bad thing unless you're in the top 1% or a sycophant for the top1%.
You're part of the problem :)
Blocked "fuck cars", a little bit better. Not everyone gets a bus.
Where to?
It's a leftist echo chamber... zero rational responses.
