I mean, there aren't enough gay dudes out there to change the numbers much.
There are more bi guys than society recognizes though.
Anecdotally, I'm 54 and have never known a bi man. Yeah, there were deep in the closet last century, but still, I've known loads and loads of gay people. No idea how that works.
I'd assume that a lot of them are trying to stay under the radar, especially in older generations; it's easier for them than for homosexual people, and half of them are probably in heterosexual relationships anyway. AFAIK newer generations like gen Z are much more open about it, but even those might not open up about it to older people.
i sincerely believe that femboys have helped so so so many bi guys realize it and get comfortable with it, certainly made me realize that i quite like cock so long as it's feminine.
