What is it they were preparing for? Refuelling more satellites?
The accuracy of American military grade GPS is one of the biggest advantages they have. It's like down to the millimeter I believe.
It's also been that way for long enough, that a lot of the systems in play would probably struggle with lower quality data
Obviously they're going to save costs by sending the refueler up empty and siphon patriotic unleaded gas off of honest American satellites to fuel their perfidious oriental satellites
Sucking the freedom and democracy out of space.
