They were not even willing to fight back with the power of 5% of their annual revenue.

You do understand that without payment processors they lose all revenue streams altogether, right? Like, none of us can buy games anymore.

The oligopoly in that industry is insane.

Steam gift cards with codes have been working great for me so far to recharge my wallet. They can switch to those

Yeah. You can get them at supermarkets and sometimes gas stations where I live in germany

Yes, I am aware they exist. I am asking if you expect Steam's entire business model to hinge on cards you have to buy at gas stations and grocery stores.

I would say it gives them enough security to test if the payment providers would actually pull through with their threat. Which as far as I know they didn't try.
