Disagree, but I'm the type who is generally annoyed by these messages.
Wait, is this talking about fully automated messages or like calendar reminders? I didn’t even realize that the former was an option
Well more like half automated messages, the content is typed as I normally would to that specific person, just ahead of time and then scheduled to deliver automatically on the day
Nah. FaceBook cured me of automated messages a decade+ ago. Be a human, say something real, even if it's late.
I mean I do type each one as I normally would to each person, just far ahead of time and then saved.
I find it akin to those "Don't open til..." Letters
What happens if you have a happy anniversary type message scheduled when the person got divorced within that year? Just an example, but I could envision a lot of potentially awkward messages from doing this. Context is too important to automate everything.
