Wow so they're turning against a country that keeps sanctioning them and aligning with a country that's willing to work together with them? It would have taken a political genius to figure out this was going to happen.
Time and time again US foreign policy always assumes that countries wont react in their own self interest and the US is unable to consider that they will not act in the exwct way they want them to. Although I have to admit the EU is doing exactly that, which is just embarassing
