this is a real stupid way to treat a franchise. Tron Legacy actually did well and was released 28 years after the first one. They decided nahhh let's wait 15 fucking years to make another.
They should've switched to television with Tron. Uprising was an excellent animated show. But yeah since it didn't make then 50000000 Tronillion Dollars on launch, the franchise was shelved.
