Found a reddit post from Platner describing his unit in Iraq being ordered to stop using mortars in high density urban areas.
He devised a method to use mk19 grenade launchers to evade detection by command. "It wasn't the most accurate system" he says, but he still used it.
Mk19s are fully automatic 40mm grenade launchers who's ammo fails about 10% of the time. A dud 40mm grenade looks like a shiny gold egg and can explode if picked up. Hope this guy gets shot in the neck..
