The average USAian with chuddy politics is likely to be just as atomized and alone as the rest of us. Finally realizing that "things have gone too far" is going to push them to what?

I don't have faith that individuals will both radicalize and organize against their former political "friends". I'm more willing to believe that they will just go quiet, hunker down, and hope that things "get better" at some future point in time after "somebody" does "something".

And what would happen?

Would that be the moment the "good" people gather their arms against him?

Odds are likely they'll either just flee or hope to quietly wait it out
