Got it in one. You use very fine sutures placed closer together, which means the wound is very likely to reopen if subject to a lot of stress. BUT, very few people lift with their face.

Yeah 20 stitches for Fetterman isn't the same as 20 stitches for a regular person coming into an emergency department.
