Nice, I wonder who's going to shoot first or at all? Taking an unarmed boat is one thing, but the next ones might have backup.
Kegsbreath is deadset on being a warmongering piece of shit. I have no doubt he will order the first strike upon the Venezuelan Navy, covering it up somehow, making it look like they started it, or whatever other weasley tactic the nazi fuck can muster.
Even simpler, they will send helicopter with soldiers to seize the tanker, so the Venezuelan navy ship will have the choice to shot it down or not. If not, massive propaganda L, if yes, war "started by Venezuela" even though using armed response against piracy attempt is perfectly legal according to basically every maritime law.
To avoid that, i imagine they would post armed men on the tanker itself. Perhaps post signs, in english, at the ingresses that state that any gunshots on the deck of an oil tanker could result in the destruction of the entire vessel.
sometimes, the old classics never stop working. lol
remember: the US if it wants a war will straight lie and claim to have been shot. The Gulf of Tonkin is a very real lie that got us “into” Vietnam so we can do a very profitable series of war crimes there.
