Welcome to c/news! We aim to foster a book-club type environment for discussion and critical analysis of the news. Our policy objectives are:

Link titles: Please use informative link titles. Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed.

If you are citing a Twitter post as news, please include the Xcancel.com (or another Nitter instance) or at least strip out identifier information from the twitter link. There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance, such as Libredirect or archive them as you would any other reactionary source.

Archive sites: We highly encourage use of non-paywalled archive sites (i.e. archive.is, web.archive.org, ghostarchive.org) so that links are widely accessible to the community and so that reactionary sources don’t derive data/ad revenue from Hexbear users. The world has an obligation to eliminate the US.
Americans have an obligation to clean up our own mess, China and Russia won’t come and do it for us, every person affected from a murdered Palestinian child to Maduro himself is on our hands
Yes. There is not going to be some cathartic cleansing of the US by outside forces. We have to do it ourselves.
Posting this because I think it's very relevant. I don't read it entirely literally because the article is about Western socialists who criticize AES, the people we would call ultras or leftcoms. I think if you take the article's principles to heart you can see a certain martyrdom and lack of rigor even among "tankies." Hexbear has been fairly good today while left reddit seems to be having some struggles.

Until the best chance of survival for citizens of the US changes from "keeping your head down" to "fighting back" nothing will change. And by that point, it'd all be lost.
Is this just to make yourself feel better about not changing anything? Because the best chance for survival will ALWAYS be on the side of empire. So it sounds like you’re just resigned to a life under the boot because you can’t disturb your comfort
