WASHINGTON — In a stunning instance of miscommunication between departments, ICE agents have deported Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro back to Venezuela just hours after he was abducted by the DEA.
“ICE is simply doing its job and keeping America safe from world leaders,” said a defensive Kristi Noem. “I don’t know how the liberal media is trying to spin this, but Maduro is a bad hombre. He is a dangerous man, has known ties to drug cartels, and has absolutely no legal right to be captured in the United States. Adios, buster!”
The move has been met with strong criticism from the rest of Trump’s cabinet, most vocally from RFK Jr., who reportedly had high hopes that Maduro could “Hook it up with some Molly.”
This is a breaking story, and we’ll have more as it develops.
I thought I was on fake news and this was a bit
Wait, how did it feel to genuinely believe this was true when you left this comment?
It's a really good bit, this is exactly the kind of thing I could imagine happening in a Trump admin obsessed with deportation numbers. They may well deport him at some point. Some racist right-wingers are mad that we brought non-White person into this country, one that will likely be living for quite a long time off of government supplies (prison, etc.).
I looked it up on the internet and didn't believe it initially because there wasn't anything about it tbh but I misread the comments and the comment mentioning it as satire, I read as not satire something somethings... I was confused and have disabilities that make it hard to be clearheaded, coherent and read well (I feel a bit extra scatteer brained today) but then again a lot about America feels like a bit come true so now I am just embarrassed after finding out the truth about it and I guess I will just
If it makes you feel better at all, you're actually not the first Hexbear user I've spoken to today who wasn't familiar with the site and thought it was a real news article. Like I said in my other comment, for a second I thought it might be real too, but then I checked the site and I was familiar with it as satire publication so I knew it was fake. It says a lot about AmeriKKKa that this seems plausible to many of us.
Thanks comrade, I feel a bit better. The lines between satire and fiction has been blurred a lot recently and it made me think about that documentary called Hypernormalization.
Our community is overdue for another round of contending with our ironic tendency. It is at a level that is weakening the site, IMO. There is a positive feedback between doomerism and ironic "gallows humor" and see need to reduce both before we burn each other out.
I didn't mean to make you feel bad comrade! It's been a long day.
I totally understand after all that has happened, I felt a bit doomerish
Dont worry about it
Thanks, I will forget about it eventually
The Hard Times is a satire website, it is a bit.
my bad
I am sincerely, actually sorry to have to tell you it was fake. TBH for a second when I first saw it I thought maybe it was possible and had a little hope...
I really wish it was real.
Not to be a buzz kill, but I think this is why we should have some sort of rule that fake news needs to stay on the fake news comm.
Or the post body should contain a disclaimer that it's satire so that people realize (just like checking the comm and realizing it's fakenews).
