I think lots of people have lots of personal submarines but the one that did the really cool thing that we all wish would happen again was supposed to go super deep

The main Issue with OceanGate sub was its experimental carbon fibre hull, that is thought to have developed microfractures on previous trips before the final

Not the depth alone, but it was going deeper than these traditional metal-hulled private/recreational subs do
