Yay FreeCAD 1.1! 🎉 Looking really good. Seems the devs saved a few significant surprises for the final release that weren't obvious in the release candidates.
On a different note: Is Deltahedra AI voiced? They used to make obvious TTS videos, but there was a switch at some point and now the videos have impeccable English with a stereotypical French accent (too perfect, maybe, both the English and the accent?), and then there are certain words where they jump between two pronunciations (e.g., fillet and filet).
Does anybody know? I can't tell anymore.
I asked myself the same question several times and think (not know) yes. Nevertheless, it's really valuable content and even if it really is AI it's good to understand and follow. Content-wise I'm sure that the script etc. is human-made. Maybe he's using TTS for a reason (medical issues, privacy reasons etc.). I highly doubt it's lazyness of some sort.
Yes, that's roughly the conclusion I arrived at myself.
I'd prefer them to be transparent about it, though. I've seen comments on the videos along the lines of "glad you found the courage to do the voice overs yourself despite your French," but no clarification in response or statement anywhere that I've seen. It's one thing if it is obvious, like in the past; another if you really can't tell anymore.
Okay yeah, the French voice appeared 9 months ago, with this video being the last one with a very different voice. From then on it's the French guy, but they were changing it around a bit before.
The videos are still pretty good and clearly made with intent, but I feel conflicted about the voice.
