There’s an immense difference between a conscripted person dying in a war versus a volunteer soldier dying in an aggressive war of choice. You’re arguing for sympathy for the modern equivalent of the fucking SS on their way to roll through Eastern Europe

The rest of the world isn’t in a state of perpetual war. The rest of the world isn’t toppling governments to install subservient leaders. The rest of the world doesn’t have 800+ military bases around the world. That’s just the US and NATO. How about over in Korea, where the US dropped more bombs there than during WW2?
Why don't we see how things have fared in The Philippines after the US placed them under new management after seizing them from Spain in a war of aggression?

Unironically? Some of those were kids, back then. The photos make them look a lot older because they were tied, hungry, dehydrated, and filthy. Kids were lying about their age far more successfully then than now.

I believe the US lets people enlist at 17 (with parental consent) but they don't deploy them to combat before they're 18.
