I love the "New York times bestseller" tag all these books have. You want to know how to get onto the "New York times best seller list"?
You pay the New York times a bunch of money. That's it. It's got nothing to do with sales, or quality. I've seen softcore porn harem manga proudly use the label before. It's completely meaningless and just used to drum up sales.
