Where I found this, people were suggesting that the last two panels were too on the nose and ruined the impact of punchline, and I think I agree. I cut it, but here's the whole thing. Y'all be the judges:

I agree with you, too. Your version is way funnier. The last two original panels kinda ruin the punch line for me.
