c/Xporn when X is not sexual. Like r/foodporn, r/earthporn, or r/animalporn.

This isn't a Reddit thing, it's just the English language evolving. The term started in the 1970s. It's present on all major social media platforms.

So dumb. There's already a c/foodporn but hopefully it stops there.

What would be the name it should use instead?

basically yeah, maybe it's not as funny as calling them "Xporn" but I don't see why only picture subs need to have juvenile meme names

it's not too bad when it's a silly one-off thing like "foodporn" but by the time we go full Reddit and get to "animal porn" then we've clearly gone too far

Theoretically, something like c/deliciousfood or c/foodpics. I don't have strong feelings on this issue, but there are alternative names that would work.

unixporn already there. But tbh I don't mind these naming conventions
