"Good Ideas" are worthless. Good implementation, now there's something that would actually be impressive...
"ideas guy" is not a real thing, if you come up with an idea it's totally worthless unless you're able to implement it.
But because that's all capitalists are able to do because they don't work, they see being an idea guy as innovative as opposed to the actual collective labor power they control being innovative.
They don't realize how much creative work happens in the process of implementation either, because like you said they don't work.
So Mr. Idea Guy has the idea for X, and now the rest of the team does all the actual intellectual labor involved in making it real.
Like Facebook. Starts out with "there should be a website that you can rate girls on" and in the process of implementation, ~~the REST architecture is born~~ GraphQL and React we're born.
Idea: Total garbage
Implementation: One of the more important things in modern web architecture (depending on how you structure your project, we used React for a while until Lemmy switched).
Facebook invented REST?
Oops, my bad. They didn't invent REST in house. That's something that was pulled from the public domain. They did GraphQL and React.
Got some wires crossed there, both of those things are restful and I just got the framework they use confused with their implementation of that framework for interface and query processing.
