Ok, that's actually an amazing idea. I would love cans like that! And it also seems surprisingly practical. Why don't bean cans have a layer that peels away to reveal built-in colanders?!

you could have the colander on one side and the opening on the other so you can put it under the faucet

I literally just came up with this to justify clowning on the idea of measuring an idea lol

Nah that's a lot of extra cost per unit and especially waste to have a built in colander tbh

it's less wasteful to just buy a little colander lid made out of rubber and then you can use it with whatever can you like, not just beans.
