This is a one-off, special 9/11 edition of Anime Night by popular demand. It’s the long-awaited screening of the fifth and six Project A-ko movies, the final entries in the series, which transplant the characters into a completely new setting and otherwise have nothing to do with the previous installments. They are also not as well-regarded as the original four, but god damn it, we’re not leaving them unwatched. I expect, at least, that chicks will continue to rock.

We’ll start at 9PM EST on Hextube, right here: https://live.hexbear.net/c/movies

Be there, comrades!

CWs:

  • “Man in a dress” jokes. The aliens look like men who dress as women. The characters barely acknowledge this fact directly, but the depiction is still problematic.
  • Bugs.
  • Stalking.
  • Mention of sexual assault (but no depiction).
  • Someone struggles to breathe.
  • Kidnapping.
  • Bath scene.
  • Flashing lights.
  • Plane crash.
  • Gun violence.
  • Nuclear explosion.
  • Objectification of female characters. -Panty shots of high-school-aged girls.

If we have a "Hextube" we should really bank on it and have it be a competitor to YouTube and TikTok.

...I'm kinda fucking serious.

We could grow stuff like this on the side and see if they catch on.

Piracy is good and you should do more of it. Use https://aniwave.to/ and https://4anime.gg/ for streaming, and https://nyaa.si/ for torrents. Piracy is the only means of digital protest that audiences have to fight poor worker treatment.
