Did people think it was an accident before the 2nd plane
Like "wow this pilot must have been sleepy"
i remember the adults around me having a "this is really weird... what's going on? i sure hope this wasn't on purpose... OH WOW YEP THAT WAS DEFINITELY ON PURPOSE" vibe as the morning went on

I bet there were some people who still briefly thought that after the second plane, their thoughts must have been funny for a few minutes

Yes, planes crash into buildings all the time but it's usually small planes. If you watch 9/11 footage from that day some people were speculating that it was terrorism but many thought it was just a accident.
I do remember every one was confused and wondering why it happened. Nobody suspected Terrorism until the second plane hit.
