Welcome to c/news! Please read the Hexbear Code of Conduct and remember... we're all comrades here.
Rules:
-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --
-- Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed. --
-- All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. --
-- If you are citing a twitter post as news please include not just the twitter.com in your links but also nitter.net (or another Nitter instance). There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/ or archive them as you would any other reactionary source using e.g. https://archive.today . Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed --
-- Mass tagging comm moderators across multiple posts like a broken markov chain bot will result in a comm ban--
-- Repeated consecutive posting of reactionary sources, fake news, misleading / outdated news, false alarms over ghoul deaths, and/or shitposts will result in a comm ban.--
-- Neglecting to use content warnings or NSFW when dealing with disturbing content will be removed until in compliance. Users who are consecutively reported due to failing to use content warnings or NSFW tags when commenting on or posting disturbing content will result in the user being banned. --
-- Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society. --
Hey can someone fill me in on the implications of this attack? Because from my understanding it's Hamas sending in their soldiers with an unknown goal, not an organic armed rebellion with mass Palestinian support, yet I see people on here (who have the cool politics ) treating this as the start towards national liberation
It is not just Hamas
Ah okay, that changes things. Could you expand on that?
It appears to be a coordinated effort of basically all the armed resistance organizations in Palestinian including the Marxist PFLP and DFLP
Cool, do you have any English language sources for that?
Here from @Awoo@hexbear.net
Best one for the palestinian perspective is https://t.me/PalestineResist, it is definitely being run by people inside Palestine.
https://t.me/Middle_East_Spectator is also posting. Not leftist.
https://t.me/mangopress has posted some interesting videos, is leftist.
https://t.me/BellumActaNews posts things, 100% chud channel.
https://t.me/CIG_telegram also posting, I've suspected for a while that this is a US intelligence one. Does a lot of automated bot posting and amplifying of infosec groups, I think the whole group that all amplify one another are all US intel. Whether the group is or isn't it still posts stuff that's worth keeping tabs on.
Meant like a newspaper or smthing lol but appreciate the effort
Al Jazeera is probably the best mainstream coverage
There is no real organic armed rebellion ever. Hamas' soldiers are not separate from the mass of Palestinians, they are literally civilians who became militants. This is another battle in a war for national liberation, not a start. All uprisings in Palestine are. The Tet offensive was armed soldiers working with the NVA to strike various targets without an obvious intent and without a mass rebellion outside of those sent by the Viet Minh.
Think of it in those terms. Trotsky criticized the Easter Rising for that same reason which as Lenin responded
Point is you want cadres operating on the authority of a party or organization, not an organic mass arming. So even if it was just Hamas that would be based.
Stellar response, thank you
Hamas represents a path away from the Zionists
