MODERATORS
Honestly, I kinda think this is an okay use of AI. It's still a bit of a grey area (though it sounds like CDPR reached out to the family to get their approval first, which is very considerate of them) and the voices of dead people shouldn't be used for new characters, but finding new voice actors for established characters can sometimes change the character's personality which kinda sucks.
That said, it definitely shouldn't be used for new characters (with an exception for niche scenarios, like if you're trying to make a fully proceedurally generated game), and I think using it in situations where the actor is busy or doesn't want to renew their contract is very questionable.
