Honestly? They might not forget, but they won’t go vote for Trump either (unless they’re very pro-conservative and wanna ban immigration from possibly their own countries?)

They’re in a rock and a hard place and they might just choose to stay there/not vote for anyone.

All of my citizen relatives descend from paperless immigrants and the other 50-ish percent are still paperless. Everyone's support for Trump has been slowly creeping up to 50/50% (compared to 75/25 a decade and a half or so ago) and I wish this was merely anecdotal but this was frighteningly mirrored by multiple polls showing the same shift in support towards trump from the last election but, by voter registration; for those of us who are allowed to vote; we're still at 60/40% rate of registered democrat/independent/green to registered republican/libertarian

Only those of who are urbanized support immigration at a slim majority when you exclude the opinions of the rural relatives and nearly all who have sought citizenship and remained rural or suburban after succeding want Trump's wall to be built.

It was confusing af for me until I started to experience the same misfortunes that befell the ones older than I and it makes my soul ache to have to acknowledge that I have a viable chance of avoiding the worst of it solely thanks not having children; not owning a house; not yet aging past 50 years and Trump's presidential asshatery.

The worst part is that I wonder if i too would actually warm to trump if I had to beg all my relatives to help me feed & house my children because every single cent that I have earned all my life was sunk into a house that was repossessed or savings depleted because I'm nearly inhirable due to potential employers assuming I'm near retirement age under the status quo that Biden represents.

I can't see how anyone could possibly forget what's happening in the occupied territories, but Ive learned there's more to how people vote than remembering the injustices inflicted upon then and why they could vote against their own self interests.
