Okay but there is a profit motive. Mycorrhizal fungi get carbohydrates from the plant and the plant gets better mineral and water uptake from their association with the fungi.
Sounds like symbiosis and mutual exchange, not the unequal exchange or rent-seeking which all rational fascist economies will eventually reach as monopolists vacuum up the capital, stifle innovation, and modify the legal and regulatory framework via forms of legal and illegal bribery.
