What level of unirony is this?
Is he saying he was given surgery from the immigrants? I can't tell from the post if this is someone being ironic to make fun of bigots or is actually a bigot.
It's ironic. The doctors who performed his medical procedures were immigrants. He is phrasing his statement in such a way to mock anti-immigrant bigots and highlight that immigrants are a positive, important, and welcomed part of Irish society.
I think he's saying the surgeon who treated him in the hospital was an immigrant, going off his other comments in the thread where he's having it out with bigots and antivaxxers.
That's how I read it.
