I wonder if it has anything to do with the legal costs of having to fight candy crush saga in courts to keep the saga name (yes, that happened)
My god, they can't own the rights to the word "saga." I hate lawsuits like that because King can absolutely afford to continue drowning a small developer in legal issues. And it likely did have an impact.
Sadly it's not uncommon, I think bethesda sued a game for using 'scrolls' in its name... sigh
That was Mojang they tried suing.
they settled on that in 2014 so seems unlikely
