I would really rather that these were actual examples, and not conspiracy theories. We all have our own unsubstantiated ideas about what shadowy no-gooders are doing, but I'd rather hear about things that are actually happening.

That the USA could have won the Vietnam War in the early years but went easy on them and it back fired

[-] yogthos@lemmy.ml 11 points 11 months ago

the same narrative we're starting to see shaping around the debacle with the proxy war in Ukraine incidentally

[-] jackpot@lemmy.ml 1 points 11 months ago

they genuinely couldve trampled russia what are you talking about? russia has suffered extreme losses, if nato wanted to they could claim all of russia by easter (ignoring nukes). i mean ffs prigozhin couldve claimed moscow if he didnt care about russian bloodshed

[-] yogthos@lemmy.ml -2 points 11 months ago

absolutely hilarious that a grown ass adult believes this

[-] jackpot@lemmy.ml 0 points 11 months ago

you clearly think you're right, and arguing with somebody who can't accept reality after two years is clearly pointless, enjoy living in your fantasy world

[-] jackpot@lemmy.ml 0 points 11 months ago

nato hasnt wanted to claim russia?!?! theyve literally handicapped ukraine refusing to give special equipment for most of the war. russia wojld fall to shit in a ground invasion of all of nato wtf are you om about

[-] yogthos@lemmy.ml -4 points 11 months ago

NATO wanted to break up Russia by crashing Russian economy and doing a regime change. RAND even published a whole paper on goading Russia into a proxy war in Ukraine to achieve that. Meanwhile, it's absolutely incredible that there are people who still believe in western wunderwaffe after all this time. There is no magic NATO equipment. In fact, what we now know is that most NATO equipment is strictly inferior to Soviet style equipment Russia has. NATO can't even match Russia in basic shit like ammo production. NATO has been exposed as an utter joke, and anybody whose brain isn't as smooth as a bowling ball can see that clearly now.

No, I'm just not an utter ignoramus.

[-] jackpot@lemmy.ml 1 points 11 months ago

you think NATO would lose to russia holy shit lmfao

[-] yogthos@lemmy.ml -2 points 11 months ago

Anybody with a functioning brain understands that NATO would lose to Russia.

[-] jackpot@lemmy.ml 1 points 11 months ago

cant even beat ukraine seethe harder

[-] yogthos@lemmy.ml -2 points 11 months ago

You keep on projecting there ignoramus. Entire NATO is now moaning about being depleted fighting Russia in Ukraine, yet here we have you coming up with these genius takes. Amazing stuff truly.

[-] jackpot@lemmy.ml 1 points 11 months ago

ground invasion with all nato troops and full throttle of armies would decimate russia

[-] yogthos@lemmy.ml -3 points 11 months ago

something only an utter imbecile could believe

[-] AntiOutsideAktion@hexbear.net 10 points 11 months ago

You hear the same talking point with every US military failure. It's a version of the stabbed in the back myth.

[-] keepcarrot@hexbear.net 5 points 11 months ago

We would have won if those pencil pushers let us shoot into crowds of civilians! (Ignoring that they did do that and did not endear them to the local populations)

[-] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 1 points 11 months ago

Me sowing: Hahaha, yeah! Fuck those civvies, shoulda been civillized like me! Ratatat-tat, motherfuckers!

Me reaping: pigmask-parodied scared pigmask-parodied

Nobody can win wars, except the people providing loans and arms.
